Concept & Philosophy

Zantuar is not defined by what it offers, but by what it removes: noise, urgency, excess.

What remains is a different rhythm—one that invites presence. A way of inhabiting space where nothing is forced and everything flows. Conceived as a boutique hotel on the Oaxacan coast, it is designed to reconnect guests with themselves and their surroundings.

Inspired by the warmth of Oaxacan culture and the stillness of its natural environment, Zantuar proposes a form of hospitality rooted in personalization, carefully considered spaces, and moments of quiet introspection.

Spaces & Atmospheres

The hotel brings together an intimate collection of 11 rooms, each conceived as its own atmosphere.

The spaces are designed with restraint and intention, where light, air, and materiality take precedence over excess. Each room draws its identity from philosophical, natural, and symbolic concepts: Wu Wei, Tonal, K’an, Amaru, Anitya, Fana, Heka, Koru, Olin, Samadhi, Quié.

All rooms feature private bathrooms, air conditioning, and terraces or balconies, with views overlooking gardens and open spaces—and, on upper levels, the bay. The property also includes an outdoor pool surrounded by vegetation, open and organic communal areas, and a shared kitchen for guests.

Location & Experience

The hotel is ideally located just minutes from the main street, where cafés, restaurants, shops, and gathering spaces converge. The area is highly walkable, making it easy to move through the neighborhood without the need for transportation. The beach is also just a 3–5 minute walk away, allowing guests to come and go throughout the day with ease.
