Tucked away on a quiet street in Roma Norte, just steps from the iconic Cibeles Fountain, BOU Medellín opens its doors with a concept rooted in the everyday act of sharing food. At this HOT spot, flavors become memories, ingredients speak to their quality, and housemade bread remains a topic of conversation.

This new location isn’t a replica of the original—it’s a fresh start with a brand-new menu. While it retains BOU’s signature warmth, refined design, and relaxed hospitality, it offers a culinary experience all its own. From early morning, breakfasts and lunches exude a quiet comfort. Think red chilaquiles or house bread served simply but beautifully—as if they’d always belonged here.

While bread is no longer the star, it’s still served generously and lovingly, with the same soft crumb and crisp crustthat made BOU a household name. Now, however, the spotlight turns to the kitchen itself. Chef Leonardo Amaro, whose background bridges pastry and savory cooking, presents a menu where ingredients are carefully chosen to captivate.

Looking for must-tries at BOU Medellín? Go for the crab croquettes, green chilaquiles, or the shrimp orzo.
Desserts still hold a special place on the menu. This isn’t just a pastry counter—it’s a slow exploration of flavor and texture. Expect croissants filled with mango and passion fruit, guava rolls with mascarpone, or cheesecakes topped with orange-ginger compote and just a hint of salt to balance every bite.
The coffee and beverage offerings follow the same thoughtful narrative: espresso tonics, cold brews, infused lattes, kombuchas, craft beers, and bubbles to enjoy a leisurely afternoon.

Designed by the Bloqe studio in collaboration with Anna Pavlova, the space is bright and serene, with materials that welcome and lines that flow effortlessly. Outside, the terrace invites lingering conversations, as if there were nowhere else to be.
