Mexico City never slows down. That’s why spaces that encourage us to take a break have become essential. In this constant motion, coffee has found new meaning—no longer just fuel to start the day, but a reason to gather, pause, and indulge. Disco Café was born from that very need: to move with intention, and to pause with purpose.

Located in La Condesa, right next to the second Metta Running House location, Disco Café blends seamlessly into the routines of those who see movement as a way of living the city.

In the early morning, the atmosphere is warm and quiet. Coffee steams, the menu comforts, and post-run conversations flow naturally. As the day unfolds, the lights dim, the music rises, and the kitchen transforms. Smash burgers and elotito ribs take center stage in a lively yet laid-back setting.

The architecture, by MOOS, and lighting by ILWT, nods to retro aesthetics without ever feeling outdated. At the center, a disco ball greets every guest—a symbol of joy and movement.
Behind the concept are Alan Huber, Pablo Gil, Ángel Regalado, and Gerardo Díaz—a team whose backgrounds in community building, gastronomy, and wellness collided serendipitously to create Disco Café. In many ways, the project is a natural consequence of connection.

Ultimately, what happens here isn’t tied to time of day or menu—it’s about rhythm: knowing that stopping isn’t the opposite of progress; that eating well doesn’t contradict self-care; and that even in the chaos of the city, there are places where balance emerges naturally.
