Soho House Los Cabos: The Private Club Arrives on Mexico’s Coast

Soho House Los Cabos will become the brand’s first beach house in Mexico and its third in Latin America. All signs point to it being its most ambitious project to date.

First, the basics: what is Soho House?

In 1995, restaurateur Nick Jones opened a space at 40 Greek Street in London’s Soho neighborhood. The idea was simple, yet radical for its time: to create a private club not for executives in suits, but for creatives—artists, musicians, designers, and people from the media. No ties. No formalities. Just good food, a better atmosphere, and art everywhere.

That vision took off in ways no one anticipated. Today, Soho House operates more than 40 Houses worldwide—from London to Berlin, Los Angeles to Mumbai, Hong Kong to Barcelona—and has a community of over 260,000 members. It’s not a hotel. Not exactly a restaurant either. It’s more like a second home in another city—only with better interiors and more interesting people at the bar.

Why Soho House is investing in Latin America

When Soho House opened in Mexico City in September 2023, it marked a milestone: the brand’s first location in all of Latin America. But that was only the beginning. As LATAM Membership Director Alicia Gutiérrez explains:

“In recent years, we’ve seen more global Latin representation through creative industries than ever before. Mexican culture and Latin America’s creative scene are essential to making Soho House a truly global entity that reflects our members.”

Soho House Los Cabos: What to Expect

Set in Cabo del Sol, along the southern coast of the Baja California peninsula, the new House sits where the Sea of Cortez meets the Pacific Ocean. The landscape—desert, rugged mountains, and turquoise waters—does most of the work in creating that feeling of being somewhere else, even if it’s just a short drive from San José del Cabo.

The design draws directly from local culture: terracotta tones, regional woods, and a strong indoor-outdoor sensibility. The result feels distinctly Los Cabos, yet unmistakably Soho House.

At the center of the property is a large terrace and pool area designed for socializing, dining, and unwinding. And not just any pool—at 50 meters, it will be the longest in the entire global Soho House network, complete with a pool bar and all-day dining.

The House will also feature 650 ft of private beach, placing it in an entirely different category from its Mexico City counterpart.

Spaces & Experiences

Cecconi’s Costiera: A restaurant inspired by the Italian coastline, with a menu focused on seafood and lighter dishes. The vibe: sun, salt, and fresh pasta.
50-meter pool + bar: The longest in the global Soho House network, with poolside service and all-day dining.
200m private beach: Exclusive access to one of Mexico’s most spectacular coastlines.
Soho Health Club: Featuring a hyperbaric oxygen chamber, red light therapy bed, IV therapies, advanced diagnostics, plus holistic treatments and a gym.
Cabaret Bar: A space for live performances and events—where everything happens.
Mezcal Bar: Focused on artisanal distillates—because this is Mexico, after all.

Soho Residences: The Big Bet in Los Cabos

This is where things truly shift: alongside the House opening, Soho House is launching its first-ever residential offering globally—Soho Residences Los Cabos.

The idea came directly from members. People wanted to stay longer. They wanted that feeling—comfort, design, community, and service—to become part of their everyday lives, at least for a season.

Residences range from two-bedroom apartments to four-bedroom Casonas, all fully furnished in Soho House’s signature style, with a strong connection to the outdoors through natural materials and open spaces.

Located next to the House, residents will have full access to all amenities: pools, dining, wellness, and beach. Plus concierge service, housekeeping, and in-residence dining. It’s essentially living inside a Soho House.
